Invite your athletes

Bring athletes onto a team with an invite link, a team code or an email invitation.

There are two ways to bring athletes in. Choose whichever suits your group. You can use both on the same team.

Invite link or code Email invitation
Best for A whole group at once Specific people
How it reaches them You paste it in a group chat Everstride emails them
Athlete types their own details Yes Mostly filled in for them
Expires When you change it After 14 days
  1. Open Team settings and find the team.
  2. Choose Invite link. If this is the team’s first link, choose Create invite link.
  3. Choose Copy message to get a ready-made message for your group chat, or Copy link for the link alone.
  4. Paste it into your team chat.

Each athlete who opens the link creates their own account and joins the team.

You also get a short team code such as ABCDE-12345. Athletes can type it into the app instead of opening the link.

Choose Use your own code to pick something easy to remember. Keep in mind that a memorable code is also easier to guess, and setting a new code stops the old link working.

If a link ends up in the wrong place, choose Rotate link. The old link and code stop working straight away. Athletes already on the team stay on it.

An email invitation comes from you “via Everstride”, with the subject “Join your team name on Everstride”. It includes your note, a short explanation of Everstride and a link to get started.

Whichever way they arrive, each athlete then:

  1. Creates an account and confirms their email.
  2. Chooses what you can see.
  3. Connects a device.

You can share the athlete setup guide with your team to help them through it.

What they see What to do
“This link is no longer valid” The link was rotated. Send them the current one.
“This invitation has expired” Send a new invitation, or resend it.
