Connect your device
Link your watch, ring or training app to Everstride.
Connecting a device is what fills your Today page, and it’s what lets your coach see the data you’ve chosen to share.
You can connect: Garmin, WHOOP, Oura, Suunto and Strava.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”-
Open Devices at the bottom of the app, or go through the device step during setup.
-
Find your device and choose Connect.
-
You’ll be sent to that company’s sign-in page. Sign in with the account you normally use for it.
-
Approve the access Everstride asks for.
-
You’ll return to Everstride, and the device shows as connected.
Your first data can take some time to appear, because Everstride also collects your recent history. You don’t have to keep the page open.
Which should I connect?
Section titled “Which should I connect?”Connect everything you use. If you have two sources, such as a Garmin watch that also uploads to Strava, Everstride counts the session once. If two devices report the same metric on one day, it uses one of them and doesn’t blend them.
If you wear something for recovery and record rides on something else, connecting both gives you the fullest picture. See Supported devices for what each one provides.
Check that it’s working
Section titled “Check that it’s working”Open Devices. Each connected service shows when it last synced, for example “Last synced 2 hours ago”.
On Today, the round button at the top shows a green dot when your latest sync is live.
Reconnect a device
Section titled “Reconnect a device”Some connections expire and need you to sign in again. When that happens, you’ll see a banner at the top of the app saying which device needs attention. No new data from that device reaches Everstride or your coach until you reconnect.
- Choose Reconnect in the banner, or in Devices.
- Sign in to the device maker’s page again.
- Approve the access.
Only you can do this. Your coach can see that you need to reconnect, but can’t do it for you.
Disconnect a device
Section titled “Disconnect a device”- Open Devices.
- Choose Disconnect beside the device.
- Confirm.
New data then stops syncing. To stop your coach seeing data altogether, use your sharing switches instead.
